As far as similarities, both vans offer the same base 3.5L V6 engine producing 275 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque.

However, the different sizes of each van mean that the payload and towing capacities will differ. The Ford Transit 250 has a maximum towing capacity of 6,400 lbs. with a maximum payload capacity of 4,030 lbs. The slightly larger Transit 350 can tow up to 6,200 pounds and handle a payload limit of 4,460 lbs.
